(CNN)– Smoothie King is making a historic change.
For the first time since opening its doors in 1973, the Dallas-based chain is serving food.
It’s called the “Power Eats” menu and it features: peanut butter toast, avocado toast, and chocolate hazelnut toast.
There are also two types of grab-and-go protein boxes for consumers on the run.
Officials say they plan to have more items next year including: egg clouds, and chicken tenders.
Smoothie King has more than 1200 locations across the nation.
