The Boston Red Sox announced a pair of roster moves ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles and have placed right-handed pitcher Richard Fitts on the 15-day injured list with right arm neuritis.

Fitts, who earned his second win of the season on Monday, was removed from the game during the bottom of the sixth inning after experiencing soreness in his right bicep.

Speaking to the media after the game, Fitts reported that his arm felt better and he would undergo further testing on Tuesday to rule out the possibility of a more serious injury.

“Felt a couple things in my warmup pitches, just kind of pulling on the bicep a little bit,” said Fitts. “We’re gonna evaluate tomorrow, but I’m feeling pretty good about it.”
