UPDATE (4:30 p.m. ET): The Patriots have their initial 53-man roster.

New England made a series of roster cuts ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline, with Cole Strange and Parker Romo among the more notable casualties. The Patriots also placed receiver Ja’Lynn Polk and linebacker Jahlani Tavai on injured reserve, with Tavai designated to return sometime during the season. Polk will miss the entire campaign.

WIDE RECEIVER (8): Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Efton Chism III, Javon Baker, Kendrick Bourne

TIGHT END (3): Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jack Westov
