A suspect who allegedly shot a man to death at a northwest Atlanta gas station two months ago was taken into custody by off-duty officers working at State Farm Arena over the weekend, authorities said.

Daquonta Hunter, 26, who online records show has a lengthy arrest history in Fulton County, is accused of fatally shooting Terrance Walton at a Shell station in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on June 11, according to his arrest warrant obtained Tuesday.

“Said accused knowingly and intentionally did drive to the incident location and call the victim in this case, Terrance Walton, over to speak to him in the parking lot,” the warrant stated. “During this discussion, the accused pulled out a firearm and began to shoot the victim, causing his death.”
