The Washington City Council set the property tax rates for the city and the Washington Public Library District at a special meeting on Monday.

The 2025 city tax rate is 56.87 cents per $100 of assessed valuation and the library district rate is 18.9 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. Both rates are the maximum allowed by statute. The city rate is the same as last year, while the library district rate is a slight decrease from 19.49 cents per $100 of assessed valuation last year. ×
