SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Nearly three dozen dogs are sitting at the Chatham County Animal Shelter ready to be taken away to a loving home.
"It's a companion to have that when you're lonely when you need somebody there, when you need somebody to entertain you and when you need someone to cuddle with,” said Animal Care Specialist Erin Brown. “It's always there for you and they just want to strive to give you that love that you're looking for."
Chatham County Animal Services has partnered with WSAV for our Clear the Shelters campaign. Director Jake Harper told WSAV people often overlook their shelter, thinking they only do animal control.
He said the campaign is a chance for people to see what their day-to-day actually looks like.
