PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - On Tuesday, the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder’s Office confirmed it has officially received a Notice of Intent to Circulate a Recall Petition regarding Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter.

The Clerk’s Office said that this confirmation marks the beginning of the formal recall petition process.

This recall petition comes after 24 bodies, along with several containers of bones and ‘probable human tissue’ were found inside Davis Mortuary, owned by Cotter.

According to the Clerk’s Office, David Jiron, Paulette Anaya and Annette Garcia are named as members of the recall committee.

The Clerk’s Office said the next step in the recall process will be providing an estimation of cost to the recall committee within three days.
