PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - For cancer patients, getting to their appointments is matter of life or death.
And the American Cancer Society (ACS) is asking the Pueblo community to volunteer to give cancer patients rides to and from their treatments.
Currently, Pueblo only has two volunteer drivers for ACS’s Road to Recovery program.
To help the program thrive, they’re hoping to get at least five volunteers by October.
According to ACS, not being able to find a ride is the number one reason patients miss their appointments.
