Motorcycle safety advocates are calling for stronger measures to prevent rider deaths following a string of fatal crashes in Calgary this summer.

This year, Alberta has recorded 17 motorcycle fatalities — five of them in Calgary since June 8, according to the Alberta Motorcycle Safety Society.
