GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's common when you hire a company or a person for a service to have a conversation to iron out the details and to shake on it, but the handshake and the conversation have nothing on the contract.
"It's the contract that governs the terms of what is going to happen," said Christopher Jones, 2WTK Call For Action volunteer.
Christopher Jones is a 2 Wants To Know Call For Action volunteer. The group educates and mediates for consumers who have issues. For example, Jones was working a case where a Triad couple was moving. They were told all of their stuff would get to their new place quickly.
"They told her the delivery would be in July, but it was in August. The contract states the delivery dates were estimates, no guarantee," said Jones.
In fact, the contract states
