Cracker Barrel at 5 Crowell Road in West Asheville.

Uncle Herschel is back, baby.

The "Old Timer" in the Cracker Barrel logo didn't spend too long in retirement as the Southern food chain announced on Tuesday night that it was ditching its awful rebranded logo and sticking with the old one.

"We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain," a company statement read.

"At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon."

With such a disastrous rollout of restaurant and logo rebranding, it's nice to see the restaurant backtrack to what has always worked so well.

We're not sure what awaits the future of the Cracker Barrel restaurant chain, but we at least know the "Old Timer" isn't going anywhere.
