LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The City Rescue Mission of Lansing opened the doors to its new facility on Tuesday.
The new rescue is home to the mission’s men’s shelter and outreach drop-in center. It also provides private showers, laundry machines, two meals a day and a place to sleep.
Randy Barton, Director of Operations for the rescue, says moving to a bigger facility allows them to provide more opportunities to those in need.
“Where we were, we were landlocked. We were limited with the type of space that we had. We didn’t have a parking lot, and there was no green space. And, this facility allowed us to have room for the expansion, and even for future opportunities.”
