CORBIN — The Corbin Rotary Club welcomed guest speaker Derrek Patterson at its weekly meeting last Thursday, where he discussed the mission and progress of Hope for London — a nonprofit organization formed in response to the May 16, 2025, tornado that devastated parts of Laurel County.

Patterson, a London business owner and Hope for London acting board chair, said the organization was founded by 65–70 community members who came together after the storm.
