CONNECTICUT, USA — The Plan b burger restaurant chain is set to close two locations in Connecticut by Aug. 31.

In a Facebook post Tuesday , Plan b said the impacted locations include West Hartford, Hartford and Springfield, Mass.

All employees of the affected locations will receive severance pay, according to the company. Plan b noted that they are working to place workers at other locations.

The company described the move as a "strategic realignment of its footprint" by not renewing leases for the restaurant spaces that have reached their term.

“This decision reflects a balance between fiscal responsibility and staying true to the experience our guests and teams deserve,” said Allie J. Gamble, Plan b founder and CEO.
