A New Jersey man was charged with vehicular homicide after allegedly driving very fast and crashing into a young teen, killing him, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Gary Battisti, 71, was driving at a high rate of speed along Delaware Avenue in Egg Harbor Township on May 17 around 2:20 p.m. when he crashed into a 13-year-old boy who was walking, officials said.

The 13-year-old boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
