The Miami Dolphins cut 2022 fourth-round wide receiver Erik Ezukanma on roster cut day, according to The Palm Beach Post . Ezukanma was considered a project and never caught on with the Dolphins, playing in just five games across three seasons with the team.
Ezukanma spent his entire stint with the Dolphins battling up a depth chart headlined by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. With little room to grow and much of the target share already spoken for, the Dolphins have decided that it was time for them to cut their losses on the former Texas Tech Red Raider.
Ezukanma only accumulated 22 yards on five catches during his time in Miami and could be an interesting practice squad candidate for a team that has already endured injuries at the position.
