San Francisco 49ers cut son of NFL Hall of Famer

The San Francisco 49ers had the son of a Pro Football Hall of Famer on their preseason roster, playing the same position as his famous father.

But it wasn't meant to be for the new T.O.

The son of Terrell Owens, named Terique Owens, was waived on Tuesday as part of the NFL's roster cutdown day.

Terique had just caught a touchdown in the preseason finale:

Terique has been in the league for more than a year. He played his college football at Florida Atlantic and Missouri State.
