KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Kearney man was arrested Tuesday morning on multiple felony charges after members of a joint law enforcement team served a warrant at a home in East Lawn Mobile Home Park.
The Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit served the warrant around 8:45 a.m. at 2900 block of Grand Avenue.
Authorities said the 30-year-old man faces two counts of felony child abuse, one count of felony strangulation, one count of felony terroristic threats and one count of felony intentional cruelty to an animal.
Because of the nature of the charges, the ESU team carried out the warrant to ensure the safety of officers, residents and the neighborhood. Police said the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
