Army football bids for its second consecutive season-opening win when the Black Knights host Tarleton State.

Army has never faced Tarleton, a member of the Football Championship Series. Army is 739-547-51 all-time following a 12-2 season in 2024.

The Black Knights (0-0) will play the first of five home games this season. Last season Army was perfect at Michie Stadium, beating Lehigh, Rice, Alabama Birmingham, East Carolina , Air Force, Texas San Antonio and Tulane in the American Conference title game.

Tarleton (1-0) opened the season last week with an impressive 42-0 rout at Portland State, posting three interceptions and a fumble recovery.
