“I feel like Paul Revere right now,” said CBS News 24/7 reporter Olivia Rinaldi as she got ready to spread the word that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were engaged. It was an appropriate reference for the outlet’s White House reporter as she saw the news on her phone, waved the device at the camera and told her producer “Taylor Swift is engaged. Taylor Swift is Engaged. Come back to me.”

CBS News later posted the off-air moment online.

The footage then cuts to Rinaldi on-air standing in front of the White House.

“This is a very important moment for me in my professional career,” she says to chuckles from studio anchor Reed Cowan, “because I get to announce that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.” Rinaldi holds up her phone to show Swift’s Instagram announcement.
