LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - Time for something good - this one from Lowndes County Emergency Management.
They worked with Georgia Power to put together sensory kits - designed to help first responders when they encounter someone with autism.
More good news:
The kits have noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, sunglasses and comfort items to help reduce stress in emergencies.
The 75 kits were distributed to agencies across South Georgia, including Lowndes County, Valdosta, Remerton, Hahira, Lake Park and South Georgia Medical Center.
