Proud alumni of Shaw High School in East Cleveland look forward to the long Labor Day weekend when they gather for four days of events at the annual Shaw High School reunion.
However, over the last four years, shootings and other acts of violence have marred the celebration.
Last year, 11 people were shot as large crowds gathered for late night parties along Euclid Avenue.
Investigators blamed the senseless violence on what they called “outsiders” who had no connection with the Shaw reunion.
As part of a new security plan to prevent trouble at this year’s reunion, the city of East Cleveland is bringing in help from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department and other agencies for crowd control and law enforcement for eac
