SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Missouri State University had a party in the “C” USA on Tuesday evening.

The celebration kicked off MSU’s entrance into Conference USA. The pep rally featured food trucks, inflatables for the kids, and football video games featuring the Bears.

Students and fans could also meet the athletes and coaches. This is MSU’s first season as a Division One FBS program. And MSU’s athletic director says it opens doors for the institution.

“This is a new platform for our institution so now every time we play football we’re gonna be televised for the most part coast to coast,” explained Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Patrick Ransdell . “

The Bears open the football season on Saturday at USC.
