SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield city officials have announced that swan boat rentals at Forest Park will be extended through the end of September.

Mayor Domenic Sarno and Thomas Ashe, Director of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management, confirmed that the popular swan boats will remain available for rental on Porter Lake for $5 every 30 minutes.

Mayor Domenic Sarno announced that swan boat rentals will be available through the end of September. The extension means that the swan boats will be available for the upcoming weekend and through Labor Day, September 1st.

With the extension of the swan boat rentals, Springfield residents and visitors have more time to enjoy this leisurely activity at Forest Park.
