DODGE COUNTY, Minn. — A Dodge County District Court judge has denied Michael Adam Davis's petition for postconviction relief and request for a new trial, according to a recent court order. Davis, who is representing himself, sought relief after being found guilty on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct involving minors.

Davis was convicted in May 2022 on charges including first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct and indecent exposure. He argued that both his trial and appellate counsel provided ineffective assistance, claiming they failed to properly challenge evidence and sentencing.
