ROCKWALL, Texas — A 36-year-old North Texas man has been arrested and charged with Injury to a Child, a second-degree felony, after a 6-month-old baby was found dead in a vehicle parked at Rockwall Heath High School on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Rockwall Police Department, the Heath Department of Public Safety responded to the school’s parking lot around 4:40 p.m. after receiving a report of an unconscious infant in a car.
The child died after being left in the vehicle for “an undetermined amount of time while parked at a residence in Rockwall,” police said. After a thorough investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of one of the child’s caregivers, identified as Camerone Leichman, Rockwall police said in an update Wednesday.
According to police, investigators
