LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WSMV) - La Vergne Police are searching for two suspects they say robbed a man at gunpoint on Interstate 24 Tuesday morning.

The incident happened between 10:45 and 11 a.m. Tuesday between Sam Ridley Parkway and Waldron Road. Police said the suspects, driving a black Toyota sedan with a black license plate, brake-checked the victim and threw eggs on his windshield.

They said when the victim pulled over to the shoulder because he couldn’t see through the windshield, the suspects also stopped, jumped out of their car and robbed him at gunpoint.

According to police, the suspects were described as Black men wearing masks and gloves and armed with pistols.

After the robbery, police said they got back in their car and drove off on I-24 West toward Nashville.
