PLEASANT VALLEY – Sand Rock went the distance against area volleyball rival Pleasant Valley, but fell short in five sets. The scores were 20-25, 27-25, 8-25, 25-19 and 9-15.

Megan Smith delivered 12 kills and 19 digs for the Lady Wildcats (4-4). Emma Sipsy posted 26 digs and three blocks. Maddie Clanton contributed 28 assists and 16 digs.

Caitlyn Lynch managed six kills and four blocks. Paitlyn Hughes had five kills and 21 digs. Molly Grace Lay finished with 18 digs.

Sand Rock hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday.
