WAUNAKEE, Wis. (WKOW) --A new preschool and child care center is opening in Waunakee.

The Goddard School will serve children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. The center will operate 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"We're so excited to become part of the Waunakee community," said Jennifer Jakacki, on-site owner and former kindergarten and 4K teacher. "Our play-based learning approach, built around the Wonder of Learning curriculum, is all about igniting curiosity and promoting whole-child development from infants through pre-K."

The school features the Wonder of Learning curriculum, an evidence-based, child-driven program that encourages exploration, creativity and social skills.

It also offers enhanced safety and enrichment measures, including security systems such as finger guards
