GROVE CITY, Pa. (WKBN) -- West Nile virus has been detected again in mosquitoes collected from Grove City in Mercer County.
This is the eleventh sample to test positive for the virus in Mercer County this year, including samples from Sharon. Mercer and Shenango Township.
There have been no human cases of West Nile virus in the county, though Allegheny County reported its first human case on Monday.
Additional monitoring will be done in Mercer County, in the area where these mosquito samples were collected, and appropriate control work will be conducted, according to a news release from the Mercer County Conservation District.
