FORT WORTH, Texas — What does it take to be number one? For the state champion North Crowley football team, the answer was simple in 2024.
“Nobody can say they beat you," said senior offensive lineman John Turntine III.
That’s exactly what happened last season -- nobody did.
The Panthers steamrolled through Class 6A Division I en route to the UIL State Championship and a perfect 16-0 record. In doing so, North Crowley became the first Fort Worth school to win the football state crown in the state's largest classification.
"Nobody can say they embarrassed you because we did all that," Turntine added.
Heading into the 2025 season, the Panthers are no longer chasing greatness -- they're out to sustain it.
“That state championship trophy doesn’t say 2025, it says 2024,” asserted head c
