Five people were injured in what police said was possibly a gang-related shooting in South Los Angeles Tuesday, with one person taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. Monday to reports of shots fired near Manchester Avenue and Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the suspect was believed to be traveling in a white sedan, but no description was available.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took four victims to hospitals.

One was listed in critical condition, two were in serious condition and the fourth was in fair condition with non-life-threatening injuries, according to LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
