DU QUOIN, Ill. (KFVS) - Wednesday will be Day 5 of the Du Quoin Fair , and there’s plenty to get out and experience.
From magic shows to chainsaw art, there’s a lot to see and do.
But there is someone who has his own unique view of all the fun.
“I started on stilts because I was already a juggler, and I had an agent who really wanted someone who could walk around and be entertaining, not just tall--and I fell in love.”
Peter Brunette has been stilt walking for 10 years and juggling for 30.
“I get a view of everyone. I can make eye contact with people who resonate and smile just when they see me. And it lets me be able to entertain everyone.”
Burnette is self-taught, learning by watching lots of TikTok videos of some of the best stilt-walkers in the world, and copying what they do.
