ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Despite having three new players and a first-year head coach, St. Clairsville continued to dominate the Buckeye 8 Conference Golf Tournament.

Tuesday at sun-soaked Belmont Hills Country Club, the Red Devils trailed Beaver Local by one shot (314-315) entering the second day, but carded a four-player round of 311 for a two-day total of 626 and their sixth consecutive conference championship. The first day was played at the Cadiz Country Club.

“Coach (Ryan) Clifford handed over a nice set of kids for me,” St. Clairsville head coach Heidi Mooney said. “The three new players all played on our reserve team last year and did quite well. Everything came together today for us.
