A large law enforcement presence in the Chico neighborhood Tuesday evening resulted in the arrest of a 55-year-old man, who according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office is suspected of pointing a gun at deputies. No shots were fired, and no one was injured, according to KCSO.

The sheriff's office announced around 6 p.m. that a search was underway near the intersection of Chico Way and Highway 3, and nearby Crosspoint Christian School was locked down. KCSO asked residents to avoid the area, due to traffic impacts and because a dog and drones were used in the search for the suspect. According to a social media post, a helicopter from King County Sheriff's Office was also called to assist in searching areas around Chico Bay and Erlands Point.
