GOLDEN, Colo. (KDVR) — This upcoming Labor Day weekend, if you are celebrating, flashing lights could be your view in your rearview mirror.

“You're not only risking your life, you're risking the life of your passengers, you're risking- you're risking the life of everybody around you and at the end of the day, we have zero tolerance for that. We catch you, you're gonna go to jail that night,” Colorado State Patrol Trooper Ivan Alvarado said.

“Our focus is going to be to pull over those cars that are putting everybody else in danger. If you're driving impaired, we're going to arrest you. If you're driving carelessly, we're going to give you a ticket,” Alvarado said.
