A Cameron doctor is the newest appointee to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine Board of Directors, Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s office announced Tuesday.
Norman E. Wood Jr. has been appointed to the board, Morrisey said. Wood graduated from John Marshall High School in 1973. After graduating from the West Virginia State Police Academy as the Outstanding Cadet in 1978, he served as a West Virginia state trooper from 1978-85.
Wood then graduated from Fairmont State College in 1986 with a bachelor’s in criminal justice/psychology. He was recruited into federal law enforcement and taught students of the CIA, Secret Service, and U.S. Marshals Service. He then became a Special Agent on the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force in San Francisco.
