CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Bengals took care of their most pressing piece of business on Monday when they gave Trey Hendrickson a reworked one-year deal worth $30 million .
While the deal still sends Hendrickson to free agency after this season, it will get him back on the practice field as the Bengals prepare for a Week 1 trip to Cleveland to face the in-state rival Browns.
But more than anything, it brings calm to the organization as Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters at his Tuesday Zoom call.
“I think it’s just great peace of mind, not only for us, but for him to know what the situation is,” Taylor said. “We’re good to go.”
