OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington Attorney General Nick Brown, along with two dozen other attorneys general, has reached an agreement with the Trump administration.
This agreement mandates the release of the full balance of education funding for schools.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Department of Education must release these funds by October 3.
The agreement emerged following a lawsuit last month, in which Attorney General Brown joined a coalition of 23 states and the District of Columbia.
They sued the Trump administration over its freeze on six longstanding programs for students and educators administered by the Department of Education.
This agreement ensures that schools will receive the necessary funding to support educational programs and resources.
