LEWISTON, Idaho – A 16-year-old was killed on Tuesday after a tractor rolled on top of him, the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office (NPCSO) reported.

The incident occurred on the 1100 block of Tammany Creek Road. After authorities responded to the scene, the Lewiston Fire Department transported the juvenile victim to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

It was later reported that the 16-year-old succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The NPCSO stated that the incident is still under investigation.
