SEQUIM — Two people were taken to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles after a collision on U.S. Highway 101 west of Sequim.

Kenneth Krom, 48, of Sequim was driving a 2018 Chevy Camaro westbound on Highway 101 at milepost 264 about 9:05 p.m. Monday when he struck the vehicle in front of him and came to rest in the ditch on the westbound side of the highway, the State Patrol said.

Krom faces potential charges of driving under the influence and vehicular assault, the State Patrol reported.

Krom was not injured but transported to the hospital. His passenger, Dillon Cummings, 33, of Sequim, was injured and also transported to the hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.
