The Alexis Carson Perkins era at Abingdon High School began triumphantly as the Falcons opened the 2025 season with a 25-11, 25-11, 15-25, 25-21 volleyball victory over the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
Perkins is in her first season as the head coach at AHS after previously serving as the boss at Lee High and Southwest Virginia Community College.
Ava Kiser (20 assists, seven digs, two aces), Lucy Piper (18 digs, nine assists, three aces), Gracie Statzer (14 kills, eight digs, two blocks) and Annsley “A.J.” Trivette (10 kills) highlighted the debut for Perkins.
