ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A fire at a duplex on Sawyer Street is under investigation.
Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Rochester Fire Department responded to the large two-and-a-half-story duplex, and a working fire was declared.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but had to remain cautious due to holes in the ground on the second floor. All apartments were searched, and crews were able to confirm that everyone made it out.
As a result, two adults were displaced, and RG&E was called to secure utilities. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
