Bringing AI to the point of care may greatly improve the workflow of nurses, according to panelists at the Cleveland Clinic’s AI Summit for Healthcare Professionals.

“It is not a natural fit when you think of AI and nursing,” Nelita Iuppa , DNP, MS, RN-BC, NEA-BC, FHIMSS , executive director and associate chief nursing officer, informatics, at Cleveland Clinic, told attendees. “ Nurses are mobile, active, constantly moving around , and they keep things in their head.”
