Pueblo City Councilor Joe Latino told the Chieftain he was out meeting with East Side constituents while other council members were signing onto a letter calling for Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter's resignation.

Cotter faces a criminal probe after state inspectors discovered 24 bodies being improperly stored at Davis Mortuary — the coroner's private funeral home. Latino was the only city council member who did not sign the Aug. 23 letter calling for Cotter to resign .
