Aberdeen have agreed a deal with Celtic for 19-year-old defender Mitchel Frame, with the Dons looking to bring in reinforcements at left-back.

The defender is set to sign a four-year deal with the club, with Jimmy Thelin hopeful he can fight it out with new arrival Emmanuel Gyamfi for a starting spot.

Gyamfi, who arrived at Pittodrie from German outfit Schalke 04, has yet to make his debut for the Reds after picking up an injury in the pre-season.

Now, Aberdeen are set to close in on their latest defensive signing, with Frame having been shut out of the Celtic first team, reports Record Sport .
