Renfrewshire Council is not in a position to put a more exact timeline on the official unveiling of Paisley Museum as the major transformation project enters its final stages. ‌

It has already been announced construction is expected to be complete by the end of this year, with a fit-out period to follow and reopening anticipated in the second half of 2026. ‌

The local authority hopes the £65 million redevelopment – which has been troubled by multiple delays – will create a world-class visitor destination in the heart of the town. ‌

But the convener of the economy and regeneration policy regeneration board would not be drawn on a request for a narrower estimate for when the landmark will open again.
