ROCHESTER — The owner of New England Pizza and Roast Beef , a staple in the Lilac City for more than 30 years, will close the popular restaurant, citing a number of factors including a shortage of workers.
Jay Picard, owner of the business, said Friday, Aug. 29, will be their last day.
"It is with much love and gratitude, I would like to announce that we will be closing," Picard posted on Facebook . "After being here for nearly 30 years, first as a GM then nearly 13 years as the owner, it is finally time to move to something new. I have enjoyed the bond we’ve developed with our community while here, although it is time to move onto different life experiences.
