GRAND RAPIDS, MI — K9 Resorts Grand Rapids, which describes itself as a “luxury” boarding and daycare provider for dogs, has opened its doors.

The business, located next to Woodland Mall in Kentwood, opened in a 12,000-square-foot renovated building that formerly housed a TGI Friday’s. The company says it offers a “premium” boarding and day care experience with high-quality bedding and flooring, and a “hospital-grade air purification system and UV air filtration.”

K9 resorts, founded in 2005, has locations around the U.S., but the Kentwood location is the only one in Michigan, the company’s website shows.

The Kentwood location, 3345 28th St. SE, hosted its grand opening Aug. 16. It’s owned by Megan and Mark Ivaska, according to a release.
