Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern has said she is “ready to move on” from the hit franchise.
The actress plays Lady Cora, the Countess of Grantham, in the beloved series, which has run for six seasons and is set to air its third and final film .
She has starred opposite Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, and the late Dame Maggie Smith in the ITV series and is returning once more for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.
Though writer Julian Fellowes has hinted there could be more films in the future, saying “never say never”, Elizabeth has now revealed she’s “over it”.
